Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Galindo app. By using it you accept them; if you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who provides the service

Galindo is provided by Luca Carnaroli, based at Via 9 Strada, 61032 Fano (PU), Italy, tax code CRNLCU98B18D488K, reachable at support@galindo.app.

2. What Galindo does

Galindo helps you keep track of your vehicles: deadlines, expenses, maintenance and refuels. It reads data from the documents you photograph, calculates indicators such as cost per kilometre, and produces a summary dossier of the vehicle.

Galindo is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not an official service, is not affiliated with any vehicle registry, tax authority or insurance company, and does not communicate with public bodies on your behalf.

3. Your account

To use the app you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for what happens through your account. You must be at least 16 years old.

4. How you may use the app

You agree not to:

• enter documents or data about vehicles you have no right to;
• try to bypass plan limits, security controls or payments;
• use automated systems to send scans or requests to the service;
• access other users' data;
• scan unlawful or irrelevant content;
• use the app for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend an account that repeatedly breaks these rules, after warning you where reasonably possible.

5. Plans, free trial and purchases

5.1 Plans

• Free: no charge, with a limited number of vehicles and monthly scans.
• Pro: unlimited vehicles and more monthly scans, dossier included.

The limits of each plan are shown in the app before you buy. Pro is a subscription renewing monthly or yearly.

Pro's unlimited vehicles are meant for personal and family use. Scans are protected by checks against automated use: if we detect an unusual volume we may pause them temporarily and ask you to contact support to resume.

5.2 The dossier

The vehicle dossier can be unlocked with a one-time purchase, which covers all your vehicles and does not expire. It is included in Pro for as long as your subscription lasts: if the subscription ends and you did not buy the dossier separately, the dossier is locked again.

5.3 Payments

All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store and charged to the payment method linked to your Apple ID. Prices, currency and duration are shown in the app before you confirm. We do not process payment data.

5.4 Free trial

Some subscriptions may include a free trial, lasting as shown in the app before you confirm. Apple grants one free trial per Apple ID across Galindo's subscriptions: if you have had a subscription before, even an expired one, the trial is not available.

When the trial ends it automatically becomes a paid subscription, at the price shown when you started it, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. About two days before the trial ends we send you a reminder email: it is a courtesy, and not receiving it does not change the trial terms.

5.5 Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before. You cancel from your Apple ID settings; in the app, "Manage subscription" takes you straight there.

If you turn off renewal, you keep your plan's features until the end of the period you already paid for.

5.6 Changing billing period

You can switch between the monthly and yearly subscription. The change follows App Store rules and usually takes effect at the next renewal: until then, the period you already paid for stays active.

5.7 Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days. By requesting immediate access to the purchased content you consent to its supply starting and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once supply has begun.

Refunds are handled directly by Apple under its own procedures, and can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

5.8 Price changes

We may change prices. Changes do not affect periods already paid for and, for ongoing subscriptions, apply only after notice and under App Store rules.

6. Your content

The data and photos you enter remain yours. You grant us only what is technically needed to store and process them so we can show them to you in the app. You are responsible for what you upload and confirm you have the right to do so.

7. Data accuracy and limits

We work hard to make the app reliable, but to be clear:

Reminders do not replace your obligations. Deadlines are the ones you enter or that are read from a document, and may be wrong or incomplete. Notifications depend on your device's permissions and may not arrive. Paying road tax, insurance and inspections on time remains your responsibility: we are not liable for penalties caused by missed deadlines.

Automatic document reading can make mistakes. Always check the suggested data before saving it.

Indicators are estimates. Cost per kilometre, expense breakdowns and forecasts are based only on what you entered, and are not an appraisal or a valuation of the vehicle.

The dossier is not a certificate. It summarises the information you recorded and does not officially attest the condition or history of the vehicle.

8. Service availability

The app relies on third-party services and an internet connection. Interruptions may occur for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the service in the previous twelve months.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.

10. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings. Deletion is irreversible: if you need your data, export it first.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, which keeps renewing until you cancel it from your Apple ID settings. Deletion does not entitle you to a refund for periods already paid.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we let you know in the app. Continuing to use Galindo after an update means you accept it.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

Italian law applies. If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence or domicile remain competent, and the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live still apply.
